The full plug and play EKPM3 cooler kit is designed specifically for F10/F11/F07 BMW's using an EKPM3 fuel pump control module. This is recommended for anyone using a low pressure fuel pump that is larger than the OEM fuel pump.

Important Fitment Note: Please note that M5 plug and play kits will ONLY fit the M5 and will not fit non-M5's. Please make sure to select "other" if you're purchasing this for a non-M5 car.

The cooler housing is designed to fit over the EKP module just like the OEM housing and fits with plenty of room in the stock EKP location. The housing is 3D printed using durable ASA or ABS. The full kit is printed and assembled in the U.S.A. by Arc Terminator LLC.

10% of all proceeds from pink housings sold will be donated towards Breast Cancer research.

Why this kit exists:

The EKPM3 and EKPM2 have been shown to overheat and cause vehicle shutdown issues when larger fuel pumps that draw more current than OEM are used. This shutdown comes from critical components on the EKPM3 and EKPM2 overheating when larger current draws are coming from the fuel pump. The PNP kit comes with heatsinks for the most heat-sensitive and heat-producing components in the EKPM3 / EKPM2 to further increase cooling effectiveness. When paired with a potent 5015 blower fan that directs a large amount of airflow through the cooler housing, the EKPM3 / EKPM2 stays significantly cooler, which prolongs the life of the module.

FAQ:

Q: Where does this plug in to?

A: The F10/F11/F07 chassis has a fuse box in the trunk close to the EKP module. The power comes from fuse #48, which the wiring harness will plug directly into. This fuse controls the "additional 12v socket," which will still be 100% functional with this kit installed. The kit is then grounded to the bottom EKP mounting stud.

Q: This is 3D Printed, will it be durable enough to be in my car?

A: Yes, absolutely! Our housings are made from very durable ASA, ABS or PETG (depending on color options) and are designed to protect the EKP module from accidental impacts that may occur with objects in your trunk.

Q: Why is a relay used instead of just tapping into the wires coming out of the EKP to the fuel pump like I've seen in other DIY's?

A: The relay is used in order to take any additional load off of the EKP module as well as to reduce any signal noise that may be produced by the fan. The fan draws less than 1amp of current, and a relay may seem to be "over-kill," but it's the best way to keep the fan circuit isolated and protects other electronic devices from additional interference.

Q: Is there any downsides to using the kit that doesn't come with the relay?

A: There are not any downsides to using this variant of the PNP kit and it will work just as well as the kit with the relay.

Q: I'm a DIY'er, can I buy just the housing?

A: Absolutely! The housing alone is available here:  Cooler Housing Only  Also, if you've got a 3D Printer and you want to do your own thing, the STL file is 100% FREE for download here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5478339

Other Information:

Depending on heatsink availability, you may receive heatsinks that look different than what is pictured. However, we have tested both variants of heatsinks and have not noticed any measurable difference in heat dissipation from either style.

Please note that the actual EKPM3 or EKPM2 Fuel Pump Control Module is NOT included with this kit and is only shown for fitment.

This product is not DOT approved and is not intended to be installed in a vehicle for street use and may void your vehicle's warranty.

This product does not guarantee that your EKP fuel pump control module will not fail over time nor will this product fix any existing errors you may have with your vehicle.

BMW f10 ekpm overheating

This is a great product.I would highly recommend buying it.My 2012 bmw 528i f10 left me stranded quite a fuel times due to the ekpm module giving me a fuel control module fault. My module on a regular cool days was hitting about 170degree.when it would get hotter. It would hit 190 degrees and would throw the fuel supply fault. Now with the install of the arc terminator cooler kit.I drove about 3-4 hours straight The module runs at 130-135 degrees on the hottest day of the summer which is 102 degrees outside. At 85-90 degrees outside the module is only at 100-110 degrees.I order the 40mm quiet motor And also I used a different fuse location than the lighter fuse.Personally I did not like the fan running when the car was off.I am extremely satisfied.

I'm ready for summer

Following a few random engine shut offs during hot weather I sought out a solution.
I'm confident I will be trouble free with this device.
